We are proud to congratulate Mr. Kasidach Rasitanon, our MS student, who joins hand with the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) team at Songklanagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, on receiving the 🥈 Bronze Award in Commercialization at the SITE INNOChallenges: Research & Innovation Awards for Mankind 2026, (February 6, 2026).
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Atichart Kwanyuang, Ph.D., Department of Biomedical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, for serving as the team’s advisor. His guidance and mentorship have been instrumental in supporting the team’s research development and innovation pathway.
The award was presented for the innovative project entitled:
“Personalized Adaptive Cushion Innovation for Enhanced Comfort in BiPAP Usage.”
This innovation focuses on improving patient comfort by developing a personalized support cushion designed to optimize fit and reduce discomfort during BiPAP therapy. The project demonstrates the team’s commitment to translating clinical needs into practical, patient-centered solutions with strong commercialization potential.
This achievement reflects the collaborative strength between clinical teams and biomedical engineering, reinforcing the Faculty of Medicine’s mission of advancing innovation for humanity.
